Though she means well, she is not one to pick up on indirect social cues- continuing to ramble on longer than others would like to listen, or boldly inviting herself over to closed events. Because of her tendency to fill a quiet room, she has grown into a competent storyteller well known for the comical recountings of her travels.Aside from her proficiency of crafting stories, Thall has a penchant for cooking thanks to her father, and is quite good at being ungracefully charming. She loves to show others how good she is at playing the fife. She is not very good at playing the fife.

Thall was born in The Foundation of Ishgard to a runaway Viera couple who had met fleeing Dalmasca in fear of Garlean occupation. Her father, a culinarian, made money off of selling personal variations of popular Ishgardian soups and stews: fresher, more vibrant, and with no meat. Eventually recognized by a wandering son of noble blood, he had found himself as a private chef for noble families, allowing the family freeroam of The Pillars. Upon reaching Ishgard, Thall's mother quickly took an interest in machinery and spends most of her time servicing broken equipment at the Skysteel Manufactory, or tinkering with explosives in her studio.Despite overwhelming support from her parents, Thall had grown up believing she had no interests or talents (productive or otherwise) other than being able to cook a mean frittata- an accomplishment afforded to her under guidance from her father. Like many children, she had taken up occasional work under her parents- soon deciding she would much rather accidentally burn a filet than potentially lose an arm fiddling with grenades like her mother. It was in the kitchens of Ishgard that Thall had found her love of spinning stories and telling jokes.Alongside her father, Thall later ends up attending a traveling cuisine festival- part of the Eorzean Alliance's coalition efforts, aimed to showcase the beauty of food among different regions. With an empty stomach, she made quick work of every stall. One particular vendor, a Limsan named Lilitofu Nono, offered her a plate of varied dishes on the house. As she tasted each, he described flavor profiles and character notes Thall couldn't quite pick up on. He had obviously had much more time to develop such a unique and diverse palate. Quick to trust, Thall pleads with the vendor to mentor and hone her cooking skills. Soon enough, Thall is taken under Lilitofu's wing as his personal chef and bard.Who doesn't love dinner and a show?
